Conference Call 2.0 release: Better performance for less money
Mar 27th
We have further enhanced the Developer Garden Conference Call API for you: There are not only new features but we have also reduced the prices.
What's new?
TL;DR
- Dial-in: Participants can dial in independently
- Individual announcements: Personal greeting messages and music to replace standard announcements
- Control via touch-tone dialing (DTMF)
- Simplified price structure:
Now as inexpensive as our Voice Call API charges (excl. the unique offer of EUR 0.03 per minute for each conference).
Conference Call 2.0 release
You are now able to choose between the familiar dial-out method and the new dial-in method when setting up conference calls. The dial-in method will allow conference participants to dial themselves into a conference call using a predefined number and a six to ten-digit PIN. The conference server can also recognize participants by their numbers and assign them to a conference automatically.
Moreover, it's possible to customize announcement texts. From now on you can replace standard announcements by personal greeting messages and music.
In addition to that touch-tone dialing (DTMF) can be used to control various aspects of a conference call (such as adding or muting participants).
Last but not least, we have also adjusted our prices: The costs for conference calls are now as inexpensive as our Voice Call API charges (excluding the unique offer of EUR 0.03 per minute for each conference). The number of conference participants makes no difference to the additional charge any more.
We are looking forward to your feedback on our new features!
Have fun :-)
