RESTful HTTP - Benefits produced for a company-wide architecture - June 23, 2010

RESTful HTTP - Benefits produced for a company-wide architecture

Batch coupling, reuse, modularization, standardization and manufacturer independence are best achieved with web services based on SOAP and WSDL. Right or wrong? Wrong! Because web services actually have very little to do with the web, and it is the web technologies that are allegedly unsuitable for enterprise use that are much better for integration scenarios – both company-internal and cross-company. REST and RESTful HTTP will be presented, compared with SOAP/WSDL web services, and the benefits produced for a company-wide architecture will also be demonstrated.

The TechTalk target group focuses on software system architects and developers, who are provided as web services on the Internet, or even in company infrastructures.
