Telekom developer platform Developer Garden offers API for Scout24 marketplaces

In cooperation with the Scout24 group, Developer Garden—Deutsche Telekom’s developer platform—is now offering a programming interface that allows developers to integrate the content of ImmobilienScout24, AutoScout24, FriendScout24, JobScout24 and Local24 into any application. The API can be used free of charge.

Adverts from over 400 topic areas and over 2,000 cities in Germany can be integrated into applications

Using a full-text search, the marketplace API enables access to one of the most extensive advert pools in Germany, with over 4.5 million datasets. With this API, developers can integrate search screens and results lists on diverse topics into web and desktop applications as well as mobile applications. The available categories range from "Services" to "Computer/Software" through to "Sport/Recreation/Hobby". Mobile applications users can thus find service providers or objects near their current location: from car repair shops to used furniture in the neighborhood.

Search parameters and design can be customized individually

Results lists can be generated and sorted by relevance, price, location and date. Developers can also integrate filters for various criteria such as category, advert type, city or region. Parameters such as the maximum number of search result pages or the number of search results per page can be selected. The layout of the search screens and results lists can be changed and adjusted to individual design requirements. The data will be output in XML format.

Marketplace configurator—advertising markets out of the box

Along with the API, partners can use the marketplace configurator web application to create an advertising market without any programming experience. In just a few minutes, a marketplace is configured with a customized layout and selection of categories. To conclude the marketplace configuration, the partner receives a short HTML code which simply needs to be copied to the desired website.
With the possibility of integrating Scout24 content into applications across marketplaces, the marketplace API is adding to the present offer of Scout24 programming interfaces: the ImmobilienScout24 API and the AutoScout24 API.
