Registration and Setup for Developergarden Connector

Once the Connector has been downloaded and installed, you need to register yourself at www.developergarden.com. After clicking on the confirmation link, accepting the General Terms and Conditions and logging into www.developergarden.com with your user name and password, you need to put a tick in the “Send SMS” box under “My Garden -> Services” and click on save. You are now required to top up your account with EUR 5 once only. You can do this simply and easily via your cell phone number.  The 10 free SMS (text) messages a day are not connected with this payment.

After selecting the WebSMS app, go to “Preferences.“ The Developergarden.com Connector should be listed here in the "Connector Preferences" area. If not, it can be downloaded from the Android Market via "More Connectors".

You now enter your user name and password in the Developergarden Connector preferences. Under "Environment", you can choose between "Sandbox" (10 free text messages a day) and "Production". Production costs approx. 9ct. to the German mobile network and there is no advertising in the text message.

The default sender must be deactivated in order to validate sender phone numbers.

Click on "Validate/Set number" to go to the next screen.

You can now verify a sender phone number by clicking on (Add Number) and entering the phone number with +49171…. (regardless of provider).

The dialog will now ask you to enter the key that has just been sent to the phone number you entered.

If successful, the phone number will appear in the list. When clicking on the number, you can decide whether you wish to delete sender validation or set this number to customer sender for WebSMS.
